Conte looks stressed and unhappy at Chelsea this season - Frank Lampard
Antonio Conte's men threw away a 2-goal lead against AS Roma but managed to salvage a point as Hazard scored his second to make it 3-3 in the
UEFA CL clash at Stamford Bridge Wednesday evening but pundit and Blues legend Frank Lampard says Conte looks unhappy this season.
Conte is known for exuberant displays of passion anytime his side scores but was subdued on the touchline throughout.
This was obvious when David Luiz netted the opening goal and this makes former midfielder Lampard believes Conte is currently not enjoying life at the club anymore.
“Antonio Conte does not look too happy, even when they scored,” Lampard said at halftime on BT Sport.
“I think Conte a bit stressed at the moment”
AS Roma outplayed Chelsea throughout the 90 minutes regulation time, and a case could be made for them being unlucky not to take all 3 maximum points home from the Bridge.
Frank Lampard admitted that his old club struggled throughout the game.
“AS Roma dominated large portion of the time, they started very well,” the Legend added.
“Yhe blues then got their goal but I personally think the team continuously throughout the first half was Roma having major share of possession and keeping the ball, and the home side, Chelsea was struggling.
Obviously, they used their two counter-attacks to get two goals which was fantastic and it saved Chelsea a lot because could've worsen the situation had they taken their chances.
"As the game progressed, Chelsea had a problem. The 2 full-backs of AS Roma were staying wide.
“If you take a closer look at the distance Bakayoko has to cover to get out there. It’s too far, it’s too long. We could have shown this again and again from the first half.”
Chelsea now take on Watford this Saturday at 12.30pm.
