Oxlade-Chamberlain close to joining Chelsea at £35m but star wants £150,000 a week
London giants, Chelsea and Arsenal are in talks over a possible move to Stamford Bridge for Arsene Wenger's the versatile winger but Alex Oxlade Chamberlain wants his current Arsenal wages more than
doubled before he moves to Chelsea.
Arsenal has struggled to meet the 23-year old’s weekly wage demands with his current contract running down.
Chamberlain has less than twelve months left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium and Chelsea Fc are looking to take advantage of his situation to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte needs reinforcement and Oxlade Chamberlain can assist both with bolstering Chelsea's midfield and also their homegrown quota.
The England international currently earns £65,000 a week with Arsenal but he's reluctant to put pen to paper for a new contract with the club.
Chelsea Fc will have to pay an amount of £35m to convince the Gunners into selling their winger and Goal adds that Oxlade-Chamberlain is demanding a weekly wage of £150,000 at Chelsea.
The English Premier League champions are trying to make this deal happen.
And with "the gunners" failing in their bid to offload some of their fringe players, they could be forced to accept Chelsea's bid.
If Arsenal decides to keep the player, they could lose Oxlade-Chamberlain for free next summer as things stand now because he's not willing to extend his contract.
Due to this, Arsenal could allow the Blues to swoop, but an agreement must be reached with the player too. Antonio Conte could use Oxlade-Chamberlain in his wing-back role at Stamford bridge, in central midfield and also in attack should he join the champions.
And Antonio Conte is also keen for further boost his squad before the window closes with Danny Drinkwater and Virgil van Dijk also on His list. Chelsea now stands at the 14th position after match-day 1.
