Nana Akufo Addo to visit Denkyira Obuasi as he begins a 6-day tour

As part of a 6-day working visit to the Western and central region, the President, Nana Akufo Addo will visit Denkyira Obuasi where the late
Major Maxwell Mahama was lynched.

The Denkyira Obuasi town became famous after this heinous crime was committed by the resident.

A statement from the Presidency says.

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will embark on a 6 days tour to the central and Western region beginning the Monday, August 7, 2017.

Nana Addo will Begin from the Western region where he'll be the guest of honor at a durbar which will be organized by the Chiefs and people of Bibiani, the President will then continue to Sefwi Wiawso where he will pay a courtesy call on the Omanhene of the Sefwi Wiaso Traditional Area

President Nana Akufo-Addo will also launch the Cocobod Mass Cocoa Spraying exercise which was introduced during President Kuffour's time at Wiaso.

He's expected to make a brief stopover at Denkyira Obuasi and then move to Wassa Akropong later in the day to attend a durbar to be organized by the chiefs.

On August 8, Nana Akufo Addo would have an interaction with the people of the Tarkwa Nsuaem in the morning, in the same region before He leaves to Half Assin.

 As part of his 6 days tour of these regions, the President would also move to the Elembelle Constituency where He will visit the Atuabo Gas Plant and later attend an organized durbar by the Chiefs and people of the Axim.  After this, Nana Addo Dankwa will depart to Takoradi, the capital of the region.

On Wednesday, the 9th of this month, the President would be at the Essikado Traditional area to pay a courtesy call on the Omanhene and elder. From here, Nana Akufo Addo would visit the Efiankwanta Regional Hospital and interact with patients and staff of the facility.

Traders of the Takoradi Market Circle would also have the opportunity to interact with the Nana Akuffo Addo when he visits the market.

On August 10, President Nana Akufo-Addo will call on the Regional House of Chiefs at the Central regional capital Cape Coast and later call on the Chiefs and people of Twifo and Atti Morkwa, where a similar durbar would also be held for the president.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would be the guest of honor at two separate durbars that would be held by the People and Chiefs of Ekumfi and Senya all in the Central region.
