    Asante Kotoko overtakes Hearts after a convincing win at home


    Kumasi Asante Kotoko has moved a step up to 3rd on the Ghana Premier League after a convincing a 3-1 home win over Medeama SC on
    Sunday. 

    However, their arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak suffered a one goal defeat from Bechem United as they lose the third spot to the the porcupine Warriors

    Evans Quao, Ahmed Adams and Saddick Adams scored the goals for Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara stadium whereas Bismark Oppong secured the consolation for the Tarkwa-based Medeama. The match was absolutely a Match-Day-21 fixture. 

    Asante Kotoko, who have changed managers thrice this league season, are currently 5 points behind leaders West Africa Football Academy (WAFA), whose encounter against Ashanti Gold has been rescheduled for Monday.
