Asante Kotoko are the lucky winners of 2017 President's cup

Kumasi Asante Kotoko emerged as the lucky winners of the 2017 President's cup beating Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Monday after
 the the match was re-scheduled on Sunday as a result of the serious rains that made it impossible for the referee to continue the match. 

Both teams scored one goal each on Sunday before Referee Willaim Agborvi took the decision to re-schedule the match at the 67th minute. 

Asante  Kotoko registered their 1st goal through a penalty kick from Sadick Adams before Hearts of Oak equalizedthrough a set piece from Atinga within the last half. 

The organizers of the match decided to replay the match on monday but the coaches for both teams coaches earlier opposed to the decision to play the match on Monday  claiming they weren't ready for such a schedule simply because they have a touch league games ahead of them. 

On Monday when the match was replayed, the game finished  scoreless after 90 minutes and it went back to penalty shoot-out where the Fabulous warriors emerged winners scoring four  against one. 

Asante Kotoko is expected to host Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League at the Kumasi sports stadium  againin two weeks time, until then, the bragging right currently belongs to the Fabulous Asante Kotoko fans.
