    Nana Addo attends AU Ordinary Session in Ethiopia

    The President of Republic of Ghana, His influential person Nana Akufo-Addo, left the country yesterday, 2nd July, 2017 for Addis
    Ababa to attend the 29th Ordinary Session of the African Union. 

    This meeting for the Heads of State is anticipated to begin on third july and end on fourth july, 2017 under the theme, “Harnessing the Demographic Dividend through Investment in the Youth”. 

    Among the problems which will be discussed include; institutional reforms for the African Union, roadmap of practical steps to silence guns on the continent by the year 2020, Continental free trade area (CFTA); and at last, the implementation of Agenda 2063 – “The strategic framework for the socio-economic transformation of the continent over the next fifty years”. 

    The president was accompanied by His 1st lady, Mrs Rebecca Akuffo Addo, Foreign Affairs minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, and a few officials from the Presidency and also the Foreign Affairs Ministry. Nana Addo and his contingents are expected back home on tuesday.
