PHOTOS: Four Nurses Dead in a Fatal Accident on Sunyani-Abeseim road

A grisly accident on the Sunyani-Abesim highway leaves four(4) trainee nurses dead. The deceased nurses were all students at Tanoso Community Health Nursing Training College. 

The 4 nurses are
Florence Osei Tutu(23-year-old), Gifty Yeboah (24 years), Dora Maga (24 years)  and Vivian Coffie 23.

Reports indicate that the four trainee nurses were returning Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA) Nomination Jam held in the regional capital when the vehicle had an accident on the Sunyani-Abeseim road around 12 am.


The Regional MTTD Commander for Brong Ahafo, Superintendent Daniel Oppong Asirifi confirmed this on Sunday.

He indicated that preliminary investigations revealed that, the deceased nurses were in a Nissan vehicle with registration number BA 486-13 it when the driver lost control, veered off the road and somersaulted several times before hitting a tree.

He said that the four ladies in the vehicle died on the spot but the driver who also sustained severe injuries is currently on admission at the Sunyani government hospital.
