PNC criticize Dr. Mahama for accepting Nana Addo's appointment
The Newly appointed ambassador and five-time presidential candidate for the opposition People's National Convention (PNC), Dr.
Edward Nasigre Mahama has justified his new role, saying it is a call of duty to serve mother Ghana.
Dr. Mahama was among the 22 ambassadors sworn in on Monday by the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. He is among the two ambassadors-at-large sworn in. The other is Rasheed Seidu Inusah. An ambassador-at-large could represent Ghana in any country in the world.
After the swearing-in at the Flagstaff House, Dr. Mahama expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Nana Akufo Addo for considering him worthy to serve in government.
“The President has demonstrated that he wants to work with everybody,” Dr. Mahama told TV3 Correspondent Nana Kweku Aduah on Monday.
“We all need to put our country first and whenever duty call, we should answer” The five-time presidential candidate the opposition People’s National Convention (PNC) has been criticized heavily especially from his party for accepting this position from their political opponents.
But Dr. Mahama stated categorically that he is not doing it for the NPP or PNC but Ghana so people should stop criticizing him on that.
