The Deputy General Secretary for the opposition the National Democratic Congress, Koku Anyidoho, has found it very difficult to understand why his party left office
without completing the Asomdwee Park.
Professor Mill was buried here at the Asomdwe Park in 2012

After 5 years into the death of late Professor Mills, Mr. Koku Anyidoho, who served as the spokesperson at the presidency under the Atta Mills government, said on an Accra-based radion that an appeal will be made to the government to see "if this government can assist so we can complete it”.
Koku Anyidaho was Speaking to Onua FM during the 5th year commemoration:
“As we move along as a nation, we are going to see what we can do under the auspices of the Atta Mills Institute, John Atta Mills Foundation, well-wishers and of course we will also make an appeal to the government as well if they can assist us so that we can complete the Asomdwie park.
The master plan behind the construction of the park was to make it like the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum.”
The Asomdwie Park was originally planned to have a mausoleum, a library, and a mini-zoo. But none of these facilities have been completed.
“And Even the Ghana Coat of Arms is wearing off,” a US-based Ghanaian, Joseph Mettle-Nunoo also said on the same radio station on Monday that, "there is even no inscription to indicate that the place is a tomb of a former president".
The buildings that were allocated for the cafeteria, library, and the restrooms have been left at the mercy of the weather, He said.
