Nana Addo enstooled chief in Monrovia; also decorated with a national award.
The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has been enstooled as chief by the Paramount Chief of
Monrovia, Liberia in a short ceremony.
Nana Akufo Addo was in the Monrovia on Friday, May 26 as part of His tour in West Africa. On his arrival, the Nana Addo was given the key to the city of Monrovia – a gesture done by respectable dignitary – Mayor Clara Doe.
The chiefs of Monrovia also gathered later in the day to bestow on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo the stool name Kandakai Gbogba, which means; a good man who brings peace.
The President was also later in the night decorated with some of Liberia’s highest national award.
He received the Grand Order of the Most honoured Order of the Knighthood of Pioneers from the Liberian President, Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
Nana Addo is expected to leave for Mali on Saturday to continue his West African tour.
