Mahama's call comes after the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) blamed President Nana Akufo-Addo for the unfortunate lynching of the army captain.
Ex President John Mahama on Thursday, June 1, paid a visited the family of the late military officer to sympathize with them and also asked Ghanaians to treat the heinous lynching of the officer as a national tragedy.
Earlier, Mahama tweeted on his offical twitter handle that; My heart goes out to my friend and brother, Capt. Rtd. Chubby Adam Mahama on the lynching of his son, Captain Maxwell Mahama.
The Ex President said that all the perpetrators must be brought to book to set the right tone in the country.
The Army Captain was lynched on Monday after some residents of Denkyira-Obuasi claimed they mistook him for an armed robber.
Capt. Mahama had a weapon on him, which incensed the residents, it was reported.
