A man, 55 lynched for ‘stealing’ GH¢1.50 pesewas
A 55-year old man has been lynched at a drinking spot in the Central region for allegedly stealing GH¢1.50 pesewas.

This unfortunate and pathetic lynching occurred at Fetteh Kakraba in the Gomoa East district in the Central region of Ghana.
A brother to the deceased, Mr. Akwesi Boadi who confirmed this incident to Adom News’ Kofi Adjei said that; his brother had finished having some drinks at the spot and was leaving when the owner shouted that someone has stolen her money.
Mr. Kofi Amoako, the deceased who was the only one present at the pub was accused of stealing the money but he denied stealing any money, the owner of the spot then raised alarm for people to come.
Mr. Boadi said the residents who were mostly men rushed to the drinking spot and without even asking for his side of the story pounced on the deceased and subjected him to serious beating.
The deceased then started vomiting blood before he was rushed to the St. Gregory hospital in Budumburam by some good residents but he died shortly after their arrival at the hospital.
The family of the deceased has reported the case to Ghana police at Awutu Breku but the attackers and owner of the pub are currently on the run.
